​​How can a family trip to Thailand inspire you to write a book for your son and every child of color?  On a recent family trip with an infant son, 'Iolani Bullock, researched books to use to teach her young African American son about travel.  She could not find a travel book with a diverse boy as the hero.  She began writing the book in her hotel room in Thailand.  During the writing journey she learned that her own grandfather was a member of the Tuskegee Airmen and this further inspired her work.  'Iolani Bullock has provided a solution for children of color with her debut novel, Lenox Takes Flight.  Listen to this episode of the Creator Community Podcast to hear 'Iolani's journey of family history and celebration of cultures.
